Does my light for Christ Jesus shine?
Can others see that He is mine?
Do I reflect His love divine?
Do I with Him my life align,
Or do I His good name malign?
Do I for sinful ways repine?
Do I roll in mud, like the swine,
To filthy flesh my life resign?
Do I here seek God’s Word, so fine
And on its riches daily dine,
That it may my life realign
To follow close to God’s design?
Do I for earthly treasures pine,
For momentary pleasure whine?
Do I worldly trophies enshrine?
Do I on my laurels recline,
Or to heav’n do my thoughts incline?
To God’s Word do I keep in line?
Do I say to God, “I am Thine,”
And cling to Christ, the living Vine?
Does His Spirit my heart entwine?
Do I let Him my gold refine,
Accept what He does to me assign?
Does my light for Christ Jesus shine?
