Faith is the place where we must start
For a rich life, lived from the heart.
Trusting Christ to cleanse all our sins,
Is where our life of faith begins,
But it is not the finish line
In our new walk with the Divine.
On faith’s foundation we ought build,
Just as our Heav’nly Father willed.
Diligently, therefore, will we
Seek more like Christ ever to be,
Adding to our faith as we go,
Whether we progress fast or slow,
Virtue, knowledge, temperance, too,
Along with patience all way through,
Following Him in godliness,
And with love, brotherly kindness.
