Trial’s Song

Trials come and trials go,
As we Christians ought to know.
When these trials faith doth grow,
Our trust in God we will show.

Daily striving to obey,
We’ll follow Christ, come what may,
Avoid traps that lead astray,
And point the lost to His way.

When life puts us to the test,
We will still do our best,
Trust the Lord to give us rest,
And for strength His Word digest.

Though reproached for Christ’s name’s sake,
His commands we’ll not forsake,
But His loving guidance take,
And to His voice stay awake.

If our life grows even rougher
‘Cause for Christ we’re called to suffer,
Our faith we’ll build yet tougher,
And trust His Spirit’ll buffer.

If our love for God is true,
We will give Him what is due,
Keep Him always in our view,
And let His care us renew.

If to God our souls belong,
He will keep us all life long,
For Christ’s glory make us strong,
And bless us with joyful song.
